Guiding a Life Affirmation: Wigs to Compliment Personality

We couldn’t believe the radiant Colleen Sinclair, my high school BFF, could cover her head with wigs. Her iconic hair styles was synonymous with impeccable style. Guess what? There’s no question she is still the center of attention for her impeccable looks. Very few know she lives confidently wearing lace wigs. Keep it on the DL.

Back in the day as kids growing up in our home town of Scottsdale, we always stole the spotlights to every dance. In our twenties her medical hair loss reared its head and she became nearly bald. I suggested some synthetic wigs. Even so she just shaved her head. She aggressively fully owned her innate beauty.

Attending our university’s rugby game, we flirted with the crowd till a numbskull accidentally hit the puck (or that thing they use) towards the fans. My bff reached out for the thing when her hat fell off, revealing her naked head. Undisturbed, she walked over and delivered it to her man. Attitude, did I mention she’s got it?

But, everyone has insecurities. Once at our semi-monhtly stroll to the art gallery, where she quietly told me that she prefers to go bald out of anger. She loved her old hair so much she can’t even become dependent on well crafted lace front wigs, though she would wear them. At that disclosure, she grew embarrassed and begged that I dismiss the notion. I thought “oh, well.”

There was no way to get her words out of my head. That night, I talked about getting her a new wig. Finally we both came to the only logical action: lace front wigs for all! Wigs for the both of us, on me!

The both of us were stunned by the fashionable styles. We didn’t realize that lace front wigs could be this fashionable for beautiful people and famous actors. These women’s lace wigs were marvelous. As for me, pieced together a comprehensively contemporary ensemble to wear with our wigs. Out of solidarity, you know. The other day she gave me a photo of us in our wigs and thanked me for giving her back her hair, and confessed it fosters a fresh spirit that she’d forgotten. It’s encouraging to witness my best friend strut her stuff like never before. And she’s still got the attitude.
